Frequently Asked Questions

CAMPING BEAUSEJOUR

Who we are?

Le Camping Beauséjour is a family-run business. It was created in the early 60s by Joseph Le Floch, a farmer by trade. Camping Beauséjour was the first classified private campsite on the Quiberon peninsula, in 1966. Subsequently, his son Yves Le Floch took over as independent manager in 1989. And finally it was the grandson, the current manager, Guillaume Le Floch, who took over in 2013, in the form of an SAS. Our campsite has had a 2-star rating since it opened. It's a deliberate choice not to upgrade, as we don't want to move upmarket or change our clientele. In fact, we have loyal regulars who have been coming, some of them, for over 30 years!

Where is Camping Beauséjour located?

Region : Bretagne. Department : Morbihan (56). Commune : Quiberon (56170) We are located on the bay side of the Presqu'Ile de Quiberon, in the village of Saint Julien, 2 km from downtown Quiberon, and equal distance from downtown Saint Pierre-Quiberon.

When is Camping Beauséjour open?

For the 2024 season, Camping Beauséjour is open to the public from Saturday 6 April at 8am to Saturday 28 September at 12pm.

Does Camping Beauséjour have an ecological policy?

Yes, Camping Beauséjour is firmly committed to a global approach to sustainable development. To this end, we have put in place a number of sustainable actions (see CSR section of the website).

How is waste management at the campsite?

At the campsite, waste management is very important. Thanks to containers, we can set up selective sorting (glass, compost, cardboard and plastics, household waste). A yellow bag is available in each accommodation. You can request extra bags from the Welcome Office. In the Reception Office, you will find bins for collecting used batteries.

PRATICAL INFORMATION

What are the Home Office opening times?

During the entire opening period, the Welcome Office is open every day, 7 days a week, from 8am to 12.30pm (lunch break) and from 2pm to 7.30pm. When the campsite is closed to the public, the Welcome Office is also closed, as we work in the field.

What are the access times to the campsite?

You can access the camping pitches and move around (with care, be careful with children!) from 7am to 10.30pm. Outside these hours, the automatic gates will not open. You can pick up an access badge (for a deposit: €20 in cheque or cash) at the Welcome Office, during its opening hours.

Who to contact in an emergency

The Welcome Office: 02.97.30.44.93. When the campsite is open but outside Reception Office opening hours, the telephone transfer is made to a mobile phone, so we remain contactable for emergencies. Emergency numbers such as doctors, police, fire brigade, etc... are displayed at the campsite entrance.

Is the campsite secure?

Yes. There are automatic barriers at the entrance, which are closed between 10.30pm and 7am the following day. The entire campsite is fenced off (so there is only one possible exit). There are also surveillance cameras at the reception desk and in the main toilet blocks. In addition, the manager is on site in July and August, providing a 24/7 presence in case of problems. We can be reached by telephone throughout the opening period.

What facilities are available at Camping Beauséjour for people with disabilities?

There is a dedicated parking space in the overnight car park (close to the entrance). There is a dedicated camping pitch too, just opposite the large toilet block, which itself has a shower/WC with disabled access. There are 2 mobile homes with ramped access to the terrace. We do not yet have a PRM mobile home as such, but the rental stock will be renewed in 2025 (for half of them) and a PRM mobile home will be installed at that time. The Reception Manager has taken an introductory course in LSF, enabling her to acquire several basic signs.

Are unaccompanied minors allowed?

No. For safety reasons (possible evacuation of the campsite in the event of a weather warning, etc....) or health reasons (possible hospitalisation during the stay...), minors unaccompanied by their parents are not admitted, even with written authorisation from their parents. We accept a group of minors only if one of the parents remains present throughout the stay at Camping Beauséjour.

What are the road regulations within the campsite?

On the entire site, vehicle speed is strictly limited to 10 km/h. Traffic is prohibited between 10.30pm and 7am. During this period, vehicles must be parked outside, or in the overnight car park provided for this purpose. Only vehicles belonging to people staying at the campsite may be used. Unless specifically recommended by the campsite representative, vehicles must park on the allocated pitch and must not under any circumstances hinder traffic, or the installation of other campers.

Is it possible for my children to cycle on the campsite?

Yes. Beware, however, of vehicle traffic (limited to 10 km/h).

Are we allowed to make noise?

Silence is required from 10.30pm to 7am. During the day, we ask you to avoid any noise that might disturb your neighbours. Sound equipment (TV, music) should be adjusted accordingly and car doors should be opened/closed as discreetly as possible.

Are we allowed to smoke on the beausejour campsite?

You may smoke outside in the campsite aisles or in the access paths to the accommodation. It is strictly forbidden to smoke/vape inside mobile homes, toilet blocks, in the laundry and at the Welcome Office. Ashtrays and rubbish bins are provided throughout the site, please dispose of your cigarette butts in them.

How do I proceed if I have forgotten a personal item when I leave?

Contact the campsite Welcome Office as soon as you notice it.

What type of dog is allowed?

All categories of dog are accepted, in pitches as well as in rental accommodation.

Can I bring my pet with me on a pitch or in a mobile home?

They are charged at €2.70/day for pitches - €35/week for rentals or €6/night for overnight stays. You must not leave your pet alone in the rental accommodation or on your pitch for long periods (potential noise nuisance for neighbours). A "cani-douche" is available for rinsing your pet after swimming, behind the small toilet block at the entrance to the site. Poop bags are also available from the Welcome Office.

RESERVATIONS

How to book at Camping Beauséjour

There are several ways to do this:
1) By e-mail: info@campingbeausejour.com
2) Via our contact form : Contact camping Quiberon ~ ᐃ BEAUSEJOUR ** (campingbeausejour.com)
3) Via our online booking application : Accueil | Camping Beauséjour (secureholiday.net)
4) By post : Camping Beauséjour, Boulevard du Parco, 56170 QUIBERON
5) By telephone: 02.97.30.44.93 EXCEPT between January and April
. During the period when we are closed to the public, please give priority to solutions 1 to 4 as far as possible (i.e. in writing) as we are difficult to reach by telephone (we are out in the field).

How are the accommodations allocated?

They are allocated indiscriminately, in the order in which bookings are registered, and according to our availability. Nevertheless, we endeavour to take your preferences into account and do our best to satisfy you, however without any guarantee.

How can we find out if there is availability?

You can check our online booking application or ask us directly.

What is the online booking procedure?

When you are on our website, on the home page, top right-hand corner, there is an "I book" tab. By clicking on it, you are automatically redirected to our "Secure Holiday" booking gateway. Then choose whether you want to come in a pitch or a mobile home. Click on "start". Enter your arrival and departure dates. Click on "Next". Make a note of the number of people: adults, children and children's ages. Click on "search". The application shows you the different availabilities and prices. Click on "book". Fill in all the compulsory information, add any supplements if necessary, then press the "finalise" button. You then check the information relating to your booking and press "continue" if everything is OK; you accept the general terms and conditions of sale, you choose the method of payment for your deposit, and you press "validate". You will receive an e-mail notification that your request has been taken into account (status "order being validated"). And if you choose to pay the deposit by credit card, you will receive a 2nd e-mail informing you that your card will soon be debited (although this is not yet the case). Please note that at this stage, your booking is not yet effective (as if you had placed an option). It becomes effective when we manually validate your request internally. At this point, you will receive an e-mail informing you that the booking has been accepted by our services, and is therefore definitive ("booking confirmation" status). If you have chosen to pay the deposit by credit card, payment will be triggered automatically. If you have paid by cheque or ANCV holiday vouchers, you will receive the final e-mail later, once the payment has been entered into our internal booking software. However, if ever after having placed your option, it was not possible for us to respond favourably, in this case, you would have an e-mail not of validation but of refusal on our part.

I made a reservation by e-mail and got no response?

We respond within a maximum of 48 hours during closed periods and within the same day during open periods. It may be that the booking confirmation email has arrived in your spam.

Do I have to book?

Booking is not required for pitches, but during the period from 14 July to 15 August it is strongly recommended to ensure you have a place. Outside school holiday periods, it is not necessary to book. Concerning the rental properties, it is imperative to book before your arrival.

Is there cancellation insurance for my stay?

No, we do not have this service.

What are the cancellation conditions?

As stipulated in our rental conditions, if you cancel your stay more than 30 days before your arrival date, we will refund your deposit, less the sum of 20 euros, corresponding to the booking fee. If you cancel less than 30 days before your arrival date, we will retain the deposit paid.

Is it possible to have a map of the campsite?

No. Our map is only visible at the campsite entrance and at the Welcome Office. It is deliberately not on our website simply because a 2D map does not reflect the reality of the terrain. You can't tell from looking at a map whether the pitch is flat, whether it will suit you or whether it's close to an electricity box.
